Hiking pleasures

365 km of surprise, challenge and enthusiasm – The Moselsteig, awarded as a quality long-distance hiking trail, is not only one of the longest, but also one of the most varied hiking trails in Germany.

From Perl on the German-Luxembourgish-French border it meanders, with side trips, along the Moselle to Koblenz. A total of 24 stages await you, leading you through forests and vineyards as well as along the banks of the Moselle and along idyllic streams. By the way, Pfalzel is near the stage 5 Trier – Schweich.

Especially inviting are the circular hiking paths that follow the Moselsteig trail, the so-called “side jumps” or “dream paths”.
For example, in the vicinity of Pfalzels you will find the side jumps “Longuicher Sauerbrunnen”, “Mehringer Schweiz” or the “Extra Tour Zitronenkrämerkreuz”.
Even the “Römerpfad” is not far away and lets you hike history.
An overview of the Moselsteig stages and the circular hiking trails can be found on the Moselsteig-Website.

But these aren`t the only hiking trails in our region … you can find many more under
